Direct from sold out, record-breaking seasons on Broadway and at the Edinburgh Festival, world record-breaking Master Tapper, James Devine, returns with his new Celtic Tap - a dazzling mix of step dance, tap and hip-hop rhythms in a fast paced celebration of rhythm and world music.
Using tap as song, the Master Tapper's unique style of Celtic Tap, brings brilliant improvisation and heart stopping choreography to a new level told through rhythm, embracing styles from traditional Irish jigs and reels to jazz, country, funk, and classic hoofing. It even includes his stunning tap rendition of Rimsky-Korsakov's, "Flight of the Bumblebee", one of the fastest melodies in classical music, recognisable for its frantic pace.
The critically acclaimed hoofer is accompanied on stage by The Celtic Tap Quartet - an ensemble of eclectic musicians on violin, electric harp, acoustic guitar, cajon and hand drums. Together they create an exhilarating, percussive sound that will dazzle your ears.
Because of the free flowing nature of the show, Mr. Devine and his musicians promise to offer audiences a unique mix of music, dance, sound and video each night.
